Opening Ceremony Held for Eurus Date Kitakogane Wind Farm

2023.03.17

The opening ceremony for Eurus Date Kitakogane Wind Farm (total output capacity of 12.9MW) was held on March 16 at the facility site in Date city, Hokkaido, where Eurus Energy Group recently completed construction. Approximately 60 local officials and other related participants attended the ceremony to pray for the safe operation of the wind farm.
This wind farm consists of three wind turbines, each with an output of 4.3MW, installed on a site blessed with windy conditions and overlooking Uchiura Bay. Commercial operation began on March 15.

The Eurus Date Wind Farm and Eurus Date Kogane Wind Farm are already in operation nearby, bringing the combined output of the three wind farms to 57MW from a total of 25 wind turbines.
The combined output of the three projects is expected to supply electricity equivalent to that consumed by approximately 41,000 average households, and to reduce CO2 emissions by 72,000 tons per year.

Hokkaido is one of the regions with the best wind conditions in Japan, and Eurus Energy Group will continue to actively promote wind power generation in the Prefecture.
