Eurus Technical Service Corporation (“Eurus Technical Service”), a group company of Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation (“Eurus Energy”), announced today that it will begin providing Eurus O&M Service, a total support service for the operation and maintenance (“O&M”) of onshore wind power plants, on February 10, 2025.

This is included in the scope of the Eurus O&M Service.

■Background of the service

As the importance of renewable energy has grown in recent years, wind power generation has been expanding. Since wind turbines operate in harsh natural environments, failure to carry out proper maintenance can lead to a decrease in power generation efficiency and equipment lifespan, as well as an increase in the risk of malfunctions and serious accidents. It is therefore extremely important to carry out maintenance with a thorough system in place.
However, in Japan, the shortage of maintenance personnel is becoming increasingly serious as the number of wind power plants increases. Supply chain issues, such as the supply of parts, are also becoming more prevalent as many wind turbines are made by overseas manufacturers.
Since taking over responsibility for the O&M of the Eurus Tomamae Wind Farm (Tomamae town, Hokkaido), which began commercial operation in November 1999, we have contributed to maximizing power generation by supporting the safe and stable operation of more than 400 wind turbines at 37 wind power plants (total capacity of approximately 1,070MW)*1 owned by the Eurus Energy Group nationwide. We have decided to start providing this service based on the belief that its extensive expertise and experience in wind power generation equipment cultivated over many years, as well as its know-how in areas such as optimal maintenance systems and supply chain construction, can help resolve issues faced by other operators.
