The vision of the Eurus Energy Group is to "Develop with local communities and maintain the trust of society," and putting symbiosis with the community at the forefront.
We are committed to a wide range of activities that contribute to local communities. These activities include prioritizing dialogue with residents of local communities as we develop and construct power plants, returning a portion of our business profits to the community after the plant begins operating, and participating in and sponsoring regional events. Furthermore, we suggest solutions for issues raised by the local communities and aim to promote regional revitalization by utilizing local resources and creating new industries, among other initiatives.
Revitalization of Local Economy
We are involved in the revitalization of the local economy through our business.
Tax Payments and Donations to Local Governments
We support activities that lead to the development of local communities, such as by establishing special purpose companies in the local governments where power plants are located and providing partial returns from business revenue, in addition to property tax and corporate tax payments.
Creation of Local Jobs
We contribute to the revitalization of the local economy by prioritizing local residents for the variety of positions associated with the operation of the wind and solar power plants.
Holding Product Exhibitions
We regularly hold product exhibitions for local specialty products for the Group employees and those of subsidiaries and affiliates with the cooperation of the local governments of the power plant locations. We contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and raise awareness for the community by spreading the allure of the community together.
Exchanges with the Local Communities
We value our relations with the local communities and strive to create positive relationships through several kinds of activities.
Participation in/Sponsoring Local Events
To deepen exchanges with the local communities, we support local festivals, traditional ceremonies, sports events, and cultural events in which our staff participate.
Participation in Local Cleanup Activities
Our staff consider themselves as members of the local communities and regularly participate in cleaning roads and parks around our offices as part of local cleanup activities.
Hosting Local Events
We hold events such as wind turbine painting events for local elementary school children and wind turbine visitations to provide opportunities for people to learn more about wind power generation.
Tottori Natural Environment House opened in February 2014 as an associated facility of the Eurus Tottori Yonago Solar Park.It is a facility where people can learn about the activities related to renewable energy and the conservation of nature, as well as the precious nature of Tottori Prefecture, in a fun way. In the facility, visitors can receive an explanation of solar power, see exhibits on the beautiful natural landscapes of Tottori Prefecture, and learn about the Tottori Next Generation Energy Park, in addition to initiatives by environmental conservation groups in Tottori Prefecture.
Initiatives For Regional Revitalization
The Eurus Energy Group believes it is necessary to build deeper and multi-dimensional relationships with the local communities for long-term power plant operation. For this reason, we consider regional revitalization activities that aim to resolve the issues in the local communities as crucial initiatives. We are therefore involved in initiatives using multifaceted approaches, such as understanding the needs of the local communities through discussion and developing projects for the resolution of issues based on those needs. Through the resolution of issues in the local communities using renewable energy, we aim to coexist harmoniously with the local communities and create new industries.
