Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation (“Eurus Energy”) announced today that Hajang 5 Wind Power Co., Ltd., a group company of Eurus Energy, has commenced construction of the Hajang 5 Wind Power (capacity: 13.5 MW) in Taebaek and Samcheok, Gangwon-do, South Korea, as of May 9, 2025.

This is the fifth wind farm developed by the Eurus Energy Group in South Korea. The wind farm is located in the cities of Taebaek and Samcheok, plateau cities in the southern part of Gangwon-do, which offers some of the best wind conditions in the country. Three 4.5 MW wind turbines manufactured by ENERCON will be installed in a mountainous region at an elevation of 1,080 meters. The plant is scheduled to begin commercial operation in November 2026, and is expected to supply electricity to approximately 13,000 average households in South Korea and reduce CO₂ emissions by around 20,000 tons annually.

South Korea has a governmental goal of raising the share of renewable energy to 29.2% by 2038 and is actively introducing wind energy.
Based on our corporate philosophy of “Helping to preserve the global environment by disseminating and expanding clean energy technologies” and our corporate vision of “Develop with local communities and maintain the trust of society”, Eurus Energy will continue to work on further expansion of wind power generation and contribute to global environmental conservation and the creation of a sustainable society.
