Eurus Energy Chile Commences Operation of Eight Solar Power Plants in Chile
Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation (“Eurus Energy”) today announced that Eurus Energy Chile SpA (“Eurus Energy Chile”), a group company of Eurus Energy, has completed construction of the Venezia Solar Project (capacity: 9 MW) in Chile. The plant commenced commercial operation on July 9, 2025.
The commencement of operations at the Venezia Solar Project marks the completion of all eight solar power plants developed under Chile’s Small Distributed Generation Program (PMGD: Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuída), which are now fully operational.
These facilities, with capacities ranging from 3 MW to 9 MW, are located within a 50 to 400 km radius of Santiago, Chile’s capital. Eurus Energy Chile has been operating two solar power plants in Chile since 2017. With the addition of the eight PMGD projects, the total capacity of the Eurus Energy Group in Chile has reached 67.8 MW (AC), equivalent to approximately 80 MW on a DC basis.
Chile is one of the most promising regions in the world for solar power generation, with solar irradiance levels more than twice those of Japan. The Chilean government has set an ambitious goal to achieve full decarbonization by 2050 and is actively promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources.
Based on our corporate philosophy of "Helping to preserve the global environment by disseminating and expanding clean energy technologies" and our corporate vision of "Develop with local communities and maintain the trust of society", the Eurus Energy Group will continue to work on further expansion of renewable energy in Chile and contribute to global environmental conservation and the creation of a sustainable society.
