Development and Construction Engineer

Position Description
•Lead and manage civil and electrical engineering projects related to renewable energy, including BESS, Solar, and wind.
•Perform site evaluations, design, and planning for renewable energy projects.
•Prepare engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, environmental professionals, regulatory specialists, consultants, attorneys, advisers, transmission providers, off-takers, financing counterparties, and other project stakeholders.
•Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
•Oversee construction activities and provide technical support during the implementation phase.
•Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring exceptional client service and satisfaction.
•Identification of project risks, coordinating resolution and mitigation with cross-functional team.
•Command of project budgets and project schedules
•Travel to site locations and meet with project stakeholders, oversee construction activities, and evaluate potential sites.
•Support land use and environmental permitting applications.
•Prepare interconnection applications and manage the interconnection process.
•Provide cost and energy estimates for preliminary project valuation modeling with the project finance team.
•Manage and prepare RFP's for wind resource campaigns (Met towers, meteorological services, maintenance, etc.)
•Support negotiations for project agreements including EPC's, TSA's, and MSA.
•Arranging, organizing, regularly scheduled project meetings, communicating projects’ statuses, reviewing and updating the project schedule and forecast.
•Review and manage project contracts including leases, interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements to ensure compliance with their terms.
•Assist with defining and creating LNTPs
•Assist with ensuring preconstruction activities align with LNTPs, scope, budget, and schedules
•Track changes that impact project schedule and/or budget and provide those changes to the Project Developer or Engineering Manager
•Support Operations and/or Contracts Teams in tracking EPC exhibits
•Preparation and updating of CPM schedules
•Evaluate and understand basic construction means and methods
•Oversee site-specific safety plan and pre-task planning process, including audits, meetings, training, etc.
•Distribute all documents to project partners and maintain document logs
•Review, analyze, and transmit submittals to SME's
•Prepare and maintain RFI, submittal and procurement logs
•Code Accounts Payable Workflows or verify correct codes as assigned
•Verify payment applications according to contract requirements
•Supervise and understand Quality and Safety Management plans at construction sites. This requires the ability to climb wind turbines to supervise work performed in the Nacelle.
•Prepare bid packages, soliciting, and evaluating bids for all the different development engineering services.
