Eurus Commences Commercial Operations of the Baracska PV & BESS Hybrid Project in Hungary
Eurus Energy Europe B.V. (“Eurus”) has successfully commenced commercial operations of the Baracska PV & BESS Hybrid Project, a 7.24 MW (DC) solar power plant combined with a 5 MW / 20 MWh battery energy storage system, located in Baracska, Fejér County, Hungary.
The project comprises solar panels supplied by Tongwei Solar (Hefei) Co., Ltd., and a battery energy storage system supplied by Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. Engineering, procurement, and construction works were carried out by the VPP Energy Group.
This milestone represents the Eurus Energy Group’s first investment in the Hungarian market and marks an important step in its expansion across Central and Eastern Europe. By integrating renewable energy generation with battery storage, the project is expected to enhance grid stability while supporting Hungary’s energy transition. Beyond its technical significance, the Baracska project demonstrates the Eurus Energy Group’s long-term commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio in Europe and contributing to decarbonization efforts aligned with global climate goals.
“We are very proud to take our first step into Hungary with Baracska PV & BESS Hybrid project, and we would like to express our sincere appreciation to VPP Energy Group for their excellent work in the development and construction of the project”, said Mr. Hidenori Mitsuoka, Managing Director of Eurus Energy Europe B.V. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration and further advancing renewable energy in Hungary.”
Wolf Theiss Faludi Ügyvédi Iroda and Öko Consulting Tanácsadó Kft. acted as legal and technical advisors, respectively, to Eurus. Öko Consulting Tanácsadó Kft. also served as owner’s engineer.
