Ground Breaking Ceremony held for Eurus Tokoro-Notoro Wind Farm

The ground breaking ceremony was held on April 21st for Eurus Energy Group’s Eurus Tokoro-Notoro Wind Farm project, which will be developed in Kitami City and Abashiri City, Hokkaido. The ceremony was held in Tokoro Town, Kitami City, with the presence of local government officials and construction participants.
This wind farm will consist of seven Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy 4.3MW wind turbines, to be located in the vicinity of the town of Tokoro and Notoro.
All electricity generated will be sold to Hokkaido Electric Power Network, Inc.
The wind farm is scheduled to commence commercial operation in April 2024, and expected to supply electricity equivalent to power approximately 20,000 average households while reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 34,000 tons per year.
