Start of operation for ‘Ariette’ battery installation, The Netherlands

Eurus Energy Europe BV and Toyota Tsusho Europe SA proudly announce the successful commissioning and start of operation of the ‘Ariette’ battery project. This containerised battery energy storage system (BESS) has a capacity of 1 MW and 2.5 MWh. The BESS is co-located with the Eurus-owned ‘Windpark Mondriaan’ near Delfzijl, The Netherlands. By sharing a grid connection with the windfarm, the BESS makes optimal use of existing infrastructure. It will provide various services to grid operators and mitigate energy imbalance on the electricity grid, facilitating wider deployment of renewable energy generation.
