Implementation Flow (In case of Japan)

The implementation of wind power development requires the procedures generally described below. Eurus Energy Japan performs all of these procedures.

Location Study
  • Identification of a promising location
  • Collection of wind data
  • Study of geographic conditions
    (natural and social environment)
  • Estimation of number of turbines to be installed
Wind Study
  • Wind study (installation of anemometer)
  • Assess wind characteristics and generating capacity
  • Initial study of economic viability
Basic Design
  • Determination of exact locations for turbines
  • Determination of turbine specifications
    (capacity, number, location)
  • Selection of turbine manufacture
  • Environmental Impact Assessment
    (noise, radio wave interference, visual impact, affect on plants and animals, etc.)
  • Feasibility study (financing, grants)
Bidding
  • Bidding after prior consultation with electric power company
Approvals
  • Formal discussions with electric power company
    (until formal interconnection approval granted)
  • Change of designated use of agricultural land
  • Release of area designation for agriculture promotion
  • Development of forest land
  • Visual impact
Design
  • Surveying work, geological analysis
  • Facility design, construction design, construction planning
Approvals from Government Agencies
  • Application to Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry for Qualified project developer of New Energy
  • Application to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry for grant (subsidy)
  • Submission of report on construction plan
  • Appointment of a chief licensed electrical engineer
  • Submission of report on safety and security regulations
Construction
  • Civil engineering work, turbine installation, electrical construction work
  • Test operation, inspection
Operation and Maintenance
  • Electrical facility maintenance
  • Turbine maintenance
